Hi everyone. Sorry for the delay in getting the website updates from the LOC \ LZOC meet in Lincoln NH, but here you are.....
Unfortunately, it rained on the big day of judging on Friday. Eight of the nine NER managers were present, and a handful of other NER members showed up, but the weather really put a damper on things. The NER seemed like the only smart ones since we brought a tent along and stayed dry. It was also good since the tent made a good gathering place for us to meet members of the other groups who also wanted to stay out of the rain. We got to talk about Lincolns and the possibility of other joint meets in the future. It was a good time in spite of the rain. Go to the Photo Gallery to see pictures from the meet.

Well, the day's almost here. Not too much to add but when you come up on Friday, look for the 10' by 10' blue cabana \ tent roof thing on the grassy bluff. That's where we'll be checking in the LCOC members. There's no set time on when everything starts, but we should be setup in the cabana about 9:00 AM.

Some updates on the Lincoln NH meet.
We have a better area to park our cars. There is a grassy bluff that we'll be able to park on instead of just being in the parking lot. This can accommodate about 30 cars. This sounds much nicer.
Ford will be bringing 3 preproduction MKS's to the show. One is for display and two will be for driving. We're not sure what the stipulations are for driving an MKS at this time. You may only be able to drive a short distance with the factory rep' on board. We're only guessing at this point. Ford has also promised that they will bring some concept cars, but Ford is making this promise, not us.
There was a comment that we should clarify what is "free". Basically, the admission fee of $55 was dropped. We were hoping this would only be a $10 or $20 charge for our limited participation, but this fee was dropped totally. You still need to pay for the poker run if you want to join in. Time has run out for reservations to the Saturday Awards Banquet.
Speaking of the poker run, the fee is $20. The winner will get a free three nights stay at the hotel, The Mountain Club on Loon. This can be used for any three nights over the next 12 months. It does not have to be used at the meet, which is good if you're only staying for one or two nights.

An announcement regarding the LOC \ LZOC meet in June was mailed out today. Remember that this is open to all LCOC members regardless if they are members of the NER or the Mid-Atlantic region. The links below are to the letter in both Word and PDF formats.

It was a great Charter Meeting on Sunday. I'm sorry that more of you could not make it. Doug Grant was a great host, and we have to thank his charming wife Pamela for letting us have him for the afternoon. We got started at 1:15 and things moved right along. We were done in about one hour. We were able to fill all 9 Manager positions. The Managers have diverse skill sets and are spread out among the region. This will help as we plan meets and events throughout the entire region.
We had a number of people who paid their dues at the meeting so we have exactly 50 Charter Members of the New England Region. Wow!
The Board of Managers will have their first meeting soon and start planning some fun meets and events.
Some people have asked about the fact that their checks have not cleared yet. Our new Treasurer is putting the papers together to start a Non-profit business account for the NER. Please be patient. The checks will clear soon.
